JOSEPH WEIDENBENNER, MA, LMHC

Joe started counseling in 2003, and has received training in several areas including trauma, grief, anxiety and depression. He earned his undergraduate degree in Physical Education at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He continued at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia to earn his Community Counseling Master’s degree.

Much of Joe’s experience comes from providing counseling at-risk youth with depression, anxiety, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, discipline issues, attention deficit disorder, family dysfunction, substance abuse and aggressive behaviors. He has further clinical experience working with adults, group therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy through Virginia’s DePaul Hospital geriatric day treatment program.

Joe works from a variety of approaches including Brainspotting, Imago Dialogue, Trauma Model, Cognitive-Behavioral, Play Therapy and Solution-focused Therapy, within a faith-based framework. Spiritual and faith concerns are incorporated into the therapy process as needed by the client.

Joe is also available to speak to groups on communication, marriage and family issues, self-care, and a variety of other topics. As a fun yet informative presenter, Joe has provided his mental health expertise to a number of government agencies and private companies.

At this stage in his life, Joe enjoys spending as much of his time as possible with his family. He also enjoys traveling, hiking, rock climbing, and canyoneering.

RACHEL GLOVER, MA, NCC RMHCI

Rachel earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of South Florida. She
continued at Liberty University to earn her Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s degree
and is currently a Doctoral student at Liberty University for Developmental Psychology. She is a
National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors.
Rachel has clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient settings, working with youth and
adults, and couples and groups. Mood, trauma, premarital, marriage, and perinatal counseling
are areas of specialty. She has completed Level 1 training in the Gottman Method for marriage
counseling, and she has completed Perinatal (prenatal, postnatal, and first year of parenthood)
Mental Health Counseling training.

Rachel believes in the importance of combined psychological, biological, social, and spiritual
health. She uses an attachment-theory person-centered approach to implement evidence-based
treatments and interventions including cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, emotionally
focused, and gestalt. Therapy is tailored to each client to promote personal transformation and
healing.

CANDACE SOLIZ, MSW

Candace holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Liberty University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida.

For the past decade, Candace worked in the emergency response field and has been there for families navigating the aftermath of profound loss, providing crucial assistance during their moments of need. Recognizing the significance of the immediate aftermath of life-altering events, Candace is well-versed in guiding individuals through the process of recovery.

Candace has found immense reward in counseling teenagers and their families, an area where she has dedicated herself for over 11 years. She has effectively supported clients grappling with alcohol and substance issues, as well as those dealing with anxiety, depression, and family dysfunction. The importance of collaboration between parents and therapists ensures comprehensive support for children’s growth and well-being.

As a military spouse and mother, Candace possesses a unique perspective on the challenges encountered by those who serve our nation. She stands by the side of American service members and their families, recognizing the sacrifices they make daily.

Candace’s approach to counseling acknowledges the interconnectedness of emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical health. For those seeking faith-based guidance, she offers a compassionate space for growth.

Candace enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, two married adult children, another adult child in college, and a high school junior. Candace and her husband take the lead in a Parents of Teens group, relishing the opportunity to assist families in need.
